Meet your photographer
Hi I’m Laura. A wedding photographer based in Northland New Zealand — and the person who’ll be right there with you from the first nervous moments to the last song on the dance floor.
I’ve always had a big heart for love stories, beautiful light, and the kind of moments that happen when no one’s performing for the camera. I fell in love with photography over ten years ago, the moment I realised how powerful it is to freeze a feeling in time. What started as a creative outlet quickly became the way I see the world — noticing connection, emotion, movement, and the quiet magic woven into everyday moments.
Three years ago, that love naturally led me into wedding photography. Weddings are everything I adore about photography, all wrapped up into one day. The nerves, the laughter, the chaos, the calm. The big celebrations and the soft, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed unless someone’s paying close attention.
My approach is to photograph your story with a timeless feel — offering documentary wedding photography in the upper North Island and beyond, that focuses on genuine moments as they unfold, paired with calm direction and refined composition. I’ll guide you when you need it, but mostly I’m there to let things happen naturally. No stiff poses or forced smiles — just the real stuff like the way you look at each other when no one’s looking, the happy tears, the wild dance floors, and the quiet in-between seconds that somehow end up meaning the most.
What inspires me the most is people, their relationships, their emotions, and the way a wedding day brings everyone together. I focus on how the moments feel — the squeeze of a hand before walking down the aisle, the deep breath after the ceremony, the joy spilling out during speeches, and the hugs that linger just a little longer. My work is rooted in natural light and honest connection, creating images that feel effortless and timeless.
On your wedding day, you can expect me to feel more like a calm, supportive presence than just another vendor. I’ll hype you up when you need it, gently reassure you when nerves hit, blend into the background when that feels right, and always be quietly watching for moments you didn’t even realise where happening.
At the end of it all, my goal is simple: to give you photographs that feel like you. Photos that take you straight back to how the day felt, not just how it looked.
If that sounds like your vibe, I’d love nothing more than to tell your story.
